Our Next Retreat: Women :: March 23-25, 2012

Welcome to the Emmaus Orlando Website!

An Emmaus Retreat is a life-changing, spiritual retreat held once a year for men and women (separately).

An Emmaus Retreat is a organized weekend opportunity to ponder and reflect upon your individual relationship with Jesus. Each of us is on a spiritual "journey" and at different stages of our "walk" with Christ. The Emmaus Retreat or "Walk to Emmaus", as it is often referenced, is taken from the Gospel of Luke 24: 13-25, where two disciples were walking from Jerusalem to Emmaus when our risen Lord appeared to them and walked by their side.

Fellowship meetings are held once a month on the church campus.

This ministry began at Holy Family Catholic Church (HFCC) in southwest Orlando in 1999.

Since our beginning at HFCC, the ministry has continued to grow and expand at our parish and throughout the greater Orlando area. To Date, the Men have held 17 Retreats; the Women have held 18.

Men's Retreat #18 will be held October 2011.

Emmaus "Angels" Sought

We have many men & women who want and NEED to go on an Emmaus Retreat.

But, due to the current economic situation, they simply cannot afford the $150 cost of the weekend.

We at the ministry are looking for a few "angels" who may find themselves in a position to make a contribution to this end. If YOU are able to contribute in ANY amount to the Emmaus "sponsorship" fund, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Again, ANY Size contribution can mean the difference between someone taking the Emmaus Walk or perhaps not ever taking it.
